Amarjah's Musing -Myth, Mysticism & Meaning

Pharaoh

Royal Lineage

Pharaoh was the religious and political leader of ancient Egypt. Pharaoh, meaning "Great House", originally referred to the king's palace. The pharaohs were later considered the incarnations of the deity Horus in life and in death, Osiris as ruler of the underworld. Pharaohs were intermediaries between Osirisand human beings.

The matriarchal royal lineage of Egypt determined the right to rule. The royal women played important roles in the religious rituals and governance of the country. Foreign invaders married royal Egyptian queens and princesses to become recognized as rulers.

Many associate the Black Madonna cult as a derivative of Isis/ Horus cult.

King Tut Ankh Amun Wi

After the death of his presumed father, Akhenaten who abandoned traditional Egyptian polytheism and introducing worship centered on the one true god, Aten, the old Egyptian religion was restored. Ay and Horemheb held the reins of power during Tutankhamun's youthful kingship.

Tut died at the early age of 19 - questions of murder surround his demise. In his short lifetime, he built no monument. Much of the wealth in his tomb was not his, but gifts.

After the young king's death, Horemheb obliterated work performed in King Tut's name, by usurping inscriptions with his own name. Most traces of Akhenaten andTut's names were erased. When Howard Carter discovered Tut's tomb undisturbed, history was rewritten.

Amarjah Wisdom School

It is the time to cease wandering and start climbing.

Many circle the mountain examining the various paths without ever making the climb. We offer seminars, consultations, and support networks in the spiritual quest for awakening. We are not affiliated with organized religions as the truth is the same when viewed from the mountain summit regardless of the path to reach it.

The evolution of consciousness has brought us here - to remind of us of who we are and our purpose here. We are seekers who embrace skepticism, acceptance and the strength in unity. We are greater than the sum of the parts in a greater spiritual work.divider
